A friend of mine from upstate NY said that Entenman's bought Friefhoffer's and how use the Entenman's recipe for choc chip cookies and sell them in both the Entenman's box and also the Freihoffers's box. : (

My love for Wintergreen patties goes back to the 50s when they were produced by York. You had to pace yourself and resist the urge to eat too much too fast because like the pepperment patty you could achieve a burning sensation in the back of your throat. The other manufacturer was Borden. Somehow during my 27 year infatuation with tobacco I lost track of my old friend. Sad...

I crave micheladas all the time (I'm white but have been heavily Hispanic influenced in the last ten yrs.. a friend has dubbed me the Swedish Latina)... We even bought the big goblets to drink em out of when we make em at home.. which is usually with Tecate, lots of lime, worcestishire, cholula, salt, and tejon. BUT.. when I'm craving one on the go or in a pinch (without all the prep and lime squeezing), I like these JUST fine. I crave em even. Yes it would be preferred if they made a Mexican beer version, as I don't much like Budweiser on its on..but this is what is available!

Loved the old wintergreen patties by York. They had the smooth filling of the peppermint and a delightful flavor with the same rich, dark chocolate coating. Tried the Haviland ones a few years ago in an attempt to recapture the flavor of the old York wintergreen, but the Havilands had a texture, flavor and coating that was nothing like the York and very unpleasant!

My husband is totally for Cheese Nips. We just made a 6 mile trip to the store for him to pick up 3 boxes. The funny thing is we have a brand new, unopened, double box of Cheez-its on the counter, that I bought by mistake. I prefer the Cheese Nip with the reduce fat myself.

In MN they have had both for as long as I can remeber and I have to say, I would never drink Mello Yellow if Mountain Dew was available ex. Mc donalds only holds coke products. i think that MY does not have as much flavor as MD I just don't see the appeal the MY is getting from all the comments its like a watered down citrus drink with very little carbonation (well seeing as I never buy it by bottle or can and only if it's the only available product.)
